We provide personalized care packages to meet the essential needs of patients, families, and caregivers. Each care package has care and encouragement for families fighting cancer. Our comfort kits are personalized care packages that allow cancer patients and caregivers to promote self-care and self-love while fighting cancer. They include items such as soaps, bath salts, body creams, teas, journals, crafts, and more that soothes both the mind and body so that one can rest and refocus.
Our goal is to connect families with financial education and support to remove their financial burdens; there is no need too small or large. We believe no one should have to choose between their health and home. Our financial support and education assist cancer patients and caregivers with transportation assistance in the form of rides and fuel cards. In addition to this, we help with the utilities of families to ensure they will always have working water, gas, electricity, and phone services while offering education on financial literacy, homeownership, and budgeting to gain a sense of economic normalcy.
We recognize one's emotional support as a pivotal part of their healing. We offer support groups that allow individuals virtually or in-person to encourage. An essential part of healing is identifying what we are feeling and how to cope with these emotions. We use art to discuss healthy ways to thrive through crafting and addressing new emotions from diagnosis and treatment.
When you’re exhausted and sick, navigating your cancer journey can feel nearly impossible. That is why we connect families with an advocate who helps them while promoting wellness from the hospital to the home every step of the way. Through this program, they become our family and are never alone. Each Advocate builds a personalized relationship with the family being served and proactively looks for ways to support them beyond the requested support.
While we desire to approve all applications promptly, applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and take up to eight (8) weeks to review and process your application. All programs are subject to the availability of funding, goods, and services. We are currently limited to supporting so many families a month, but with your help, we can provide even more assistance!
